AKG's K701 service documentation identifies cushion part 2458M12010 and says the OEM cushions use a bayonet lock. This confirms the OEM cushion details, but does not establish that Brainwavz's plastic clips use the same mechanism or independently verify Brainwavz fit.
Brainwavz's own product page explicitly lists the AKG K701 as compatible, identifies the pads as its replacement product, and confirms the product code, velour/foam materials, plastic-clip installation and 105 × 105 mm, 23–32 mm dimensions. Its claims about restoring original feel and sound quality are manufacturer claims, not independent acoustic verification.
Dekoni's own product page explicitly lists the AKG K701 as a compatible model and offers material variants including sheepskin, fenestrated sheepskin, hybrid and Elite Velour. It gives dimensions of 106 mm, 63 mm, 63 mm and 27 mm and describes the products' acoustic effects as Dekoni's claims.
